Application Processor Module (APM)
The APM blades provide the horsepower to run the applications. The more blades, the more power.
Each APM can run one application or you can decide to combine APMs together into logical application groups. This means that you can scale the performance of individual applications running inside the X-Series. Some examples include:
- 10 APMs dedicated to your Firewall
- 4 APMs dedicated to your Firewall, 6 to the IPS
- 2 APMs dedicated to your Firewall, 3 for the IPS and 4 for the Web Application Firewall.
The permutations are vast. But the control is yours.
